The New Holographic Durag

The durag have evolved from being just a black colored piece of fabric to protect 360 waves.  We saw the rise of color in silky durags in the 2000s with reds and royal blue hues.  Nowadays people have been expanding to purples, yellows, baby blues, pinks, and more colorful flavors.  But what's next, what is the best silky durag?  Well, the holographic durag has been gaining in popularity, and definitely puts a spin on the durag culture.

Holographic Durag

What Makes The Holographic Durag Different?

Our holographic durag has all the same features of a traditional silky:
  • extra long strings that make it easy to tie to the front or back
  • long tail or cape
  • smooth silky satin interior to keep your 360 waves protected

However what differs is the outside design.  This durag has a unique embedded metallic glitter-like design pattern on the material.

When hit with light, this durag will sparkle in a galaxy like effect. Our holographic durag comes in multiple colors:

  • Baby Blue
  • Black Galaxy
  • Cream
  • Purple
  • Red
  • White
  • Yellow

Holographic Vs. Iridescent Durag Designs

Holographic and iridescent durags both look great under a light, however, there are some slight differences between the two.

Iridescent durags change color when looked at from different angles as well as under changing light. Similar to the classic silky durag, iridescent toned durags have:

  • long strings
  • long tail
  • and a silky smooth satin interior
The outside of the iridescent durag is slightly different than the holographic one.  You will find a color changing mesh tone which creates the effect.  This durag comes in multiple colors:
  • Blue
  • Black
  • Gold
  • White
  • Off White
  • Red
